The City of Ellijay is accepting applications for the position of City Clerk/Finance Officer.
INVITATION FOR SEALED BIDS:
In accordance with O.C.G.A. 36-37-6., sealed bids will be received by the City of Ellijay, Georgia, located at 197 North Main Street, Ellijay Georgia, until 3:00 p.m. on June 14, 2023 for the sale of the following items of personal property:
- 2007 Exmark Lazer Z hp Mower 56 inch Triton Deck 1970 hours
- 2014 Grasshopper 327K EFI 60 inch Duramax Rear Discharge Deck 1340 hours
- 1993 Ford Ranger 4 cylinder 5 speed 2wd
Property may be viewed at Ellijay City Hall 8:00AM to 4:30PM Monday through Friday prior to close of bidding. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud at City Hall on June 15, 2023 at 8:30 a.m. and presented to the City Council for action at their regular monthly meeting on June 19, 2023. In accordance with O.C.G.A. 36-37-6, the City of Ellijay reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to cancel any proposed sale.
Call For Bids – Paving
The City of Ellijay is accepting bids for the resurfacing of the following:
1- Progress Road beginning at the intersection of Maddox Drive and ending at the intersection of Old SR-5 South, a point 1.4 miles from beginning. Pavement type shall be 12.5 Superpave type I, Group I or II. Pavement shall be a minimum of 2 inches thick.
2- South Main Street/Old SR-5 South beginning at the intersection SR-282 and ending at the intersection of SR-382, a point 3.3 miles from beginning. Pavement type shall be 9.5 Superpave type I, Group I or II. Pavement shall be a minimum of 1.5 inches thick.
3- Broad Street, Corbin Hill Road and Old Tails Creek Road beginning at the intersection SR-52 round a bout and ending at the Ellijay City Limits, a point 1.3 miles from beginning. Pavement type shall be 9.5 Superpave type I, Group I or II. Pavement shall be a minimum of 1.5 inches thick.
4- Forest Glen Drive beginning at the intersection Woodland Drive and continuing to end and Alpine Way beginning at the intersection of Forest Glen Drive and continuing to end. The combined length of both streets is .4 miles. Pavement type shall be 9.5 Superpave type I, Group I or II. Pavement shall be a minimum of 1.5 inches thick.
Pavement shall meet Georgia Department of Transportation specifications and guidelines. All pavement markings and lines shall be replaced to match existing and or to meet Georgia Department of Transportation specifications.
This resurfacing project includes several driveway aprons which must be installed in a manner which will allow uninterrupted access to all properties.
